Tennis has been part of our family for generations. In the 1980s, my father founded the first Filipino Tennis Association in Virginia Beach, bringing people together through a shared love of the game. Growing up alongside my two older brothers and younger sister, tennis was more than a sport—it was part of our everyday lives.

As one of the top junior players in Hampton Roads and Virginia, I developed a passion for competition and for helping others improve. I began teaching tennis as a teenager, and I dreamed of one day becoming a coach with a tennis center of my own.

In the early 2020s, I coached for the previous business operating in the very building that is now home to CoVA. In November 2024, that lifelong dream came full circle when I opened CoVA Tennis Center.

Today, CoVA is a family-owned and operated tennis center where our family's passion for the game continues to grow. I'm proud to coach alongside my brother, while my wife and daughters play an active role in the day-to-day operations of the business. Together, we're building a welcoming home for players of all ages and abilities—a place where people can learn, compete, connect, and feel they belong.
